Moving was a pain but most certainly rewarding! I'm very happy living in our new apartment. Feels fresh and really rejuvenating.
The next few weeks I'll spend time putting a lot of work into RGT to finalize the game more. We have an endless list of suggestions but there are a few really big additions that I believe will bring the game up to par with our own expectations. One example of such things is Steam Workshop support. Our song creation tool is just begging for it.
Is game development a viable career?
I've gone through lots ups and downs over the past few years. There have been numerous times where I didn't even have my rent money but to be honest, I would do it all again without thinking twice. It has been a long road and one that is beyond my own imagination. Project Explore got me a $2,000 the first month on a check and I felt like I had made it. Three months later I was borrowing money to make ends meet.
Rock God Tycoon is my poster child at the moment. It isn't the end of my career and really is just the start I've needed. It has ignited my fire and I feel ready to move forward towards whatever great project comes next. I love what I do and plan to continue doing it long into the future.
