Server Requirements
This is a basic guideline for server hosts and not necessarily the rules/limits. These are all estimates and you may need more than the amount of bandwidth listed. The number of objects and players in your world will affect the required bandwidth.
Each players requires approximately 177 bytes per second of download speed. Your upload speed will need to be exponentially faster due to the nature of the game. If there are 4 players in an area together then the server must send info regarding those players to the 4 players in that area. Now if you 16 players in that area then it is 4x more players meaning 16x more bandwidth required for both download/upload.

The required hardware to host a specific number of players is currently unknown and so I cannot document it yet. I will update this section once I have some statistics on this. It is recommended that you increase the fps limit of the server if you need to support a higher number of players.
