I have yet to post anything this month and I think it is about time I finally do it. So where have I been this whole month? I have been up to a number of things actually... I'll separate them into sections for the sanity of both you and I.
I had to take a step back for the past month or so to allow Spike (co-programmer) enough time to implement a few massive changes. One of the two things he is working on is multiplayer. I know what you are thinking, "FINALLY! I THOUGHT THEY WOULD NEVER WORK ON IT..." Unless of course you actually think I keep my promises... ^_^
He is nearly done with the multiplayer programming and is supposedly about one more week away from completing both the multiplayer and the next thing I'm going to talk about. New AI handling! To clarify what that means, it means that wolves and bears won't behave like headless chickens anymore. They may move in packs for example and possibly reproduce depending on the current state of their health. I am really looking forward to all the changes that his work will be bringing to Project Explore.
I began work on a new project! Yes I still am working on Project Explore but I think it is time that I fill in the other half of my day with something to both entertain and support myself. I've decided it is time that I take graphics into consideration when developing games and so this time around I put a bit more work into the visuals. See below!
I think it is decent looking. It's an RPG that includes dialogue and combat. That is ALL I'm planning on revealing at this very moment but there will be more news of it soon. I have just finished hiring a team and we have began working towards our first goal: a playable demo. I do not have a guaranteed due date at this point but I will try to lay one out as soon as possible.
Mobile Game (Secret)
There is currently a mobile game I have in the works as well but that I would rather not reveal too much about here. You should see it on the play store in about a month but I can't make any promises. I assure you it will be both fun and cute.
Looks like that's it for now. Don't forget to check in from time to time for more exciting (not really exciting) blog posts!
