I wanted to try something different with my YouTube channel and make a video that was more of a story, and less of a uhhh, tutorial. Let me know what you think!
I think one major problem with this blog is that I usually have nothing exciting to write about. Nothing really is moving forward in my life so I'm just indefinitely writing about the same crap. I hope this changes as time passes but right now, I feel that me writing blog posts every few days is pretty much pointless. Until I have something to say, I will likely not post.
Rock God Tycoon has made great progress over the past few months. A lot of the core features of the game are finished (mostly) and bug free. The game is not something we should have started with just the two of us on the team but despite the odds (and lack of man power) we have pushed through. The game doesn't feel like it was done by a two man army but instead a full team of dedicated developers.
Overall I'm satisfied with the overall quality of the product. We didn't steal any assets and about 90% of our game design decisions were influenced by our own thought process rather then, "what did game X do?" Rock God Tycoon stands right now as the most professional project I've seen made with Game Maker: Studio. I don't mean to sound boastful but I am not afraid to be bold.
We'll keep pushing forward and hopefully when the day comes, we'll release a product that we are happy with.
